I was thinking of maybe Fireball having a magical nose as well just like rudolph, although because his is more dangerous he's taught to fear his gift and hide it. So when he sees ruddy with a nose just like his, he reacts frightened--

But now he's mastered his firey shnoz and will torch anyone who hurts his bf and gf!!
