So, Lori is really into soccer / football. That makes this whole exchange seem kind of insane to Billie, because they know just enough via sibling osmosis to know that they're currently having a conversation with someone famous but they don't know enough to fully grasp the depth of that. They're delighted and frustrated and they can't stop smiling.

LSE and ASL are entirely different and come from hugely different backgrounds; none of the similarities between English and Spanish translate ( ha, ha ) here, and Billie nods seriously as they watch him sign 'feliz' —— they sign the 'happy' in ASL to continue their exchanging / demonstrations, eyes remaining on his face both so they can grasp facial grammar and, more importantly, track his lips. "My sister is never going to believe this," Billie says through another disbelieving laugh. "When I tell her I was comparing signed languages with her favourite soccer player, she'll explode."

name: mieko tsunashi and harue tsunashi.

gender: mieko is transfeminine nonbinary ( she/her ) and harue is nonbinary ( she/ they ).

general appearance: mieko has long waves and bangs that frame her face sweetly; she always has accessories in it, whether it be clips, ribbons, pins, or the like. she has faint freckles ( she complains harue took most of them from her ) and buckteeth as her most prominent features. she loves to dress up, even for the smallest events. harue, meanwhile, keeps their darker hair relatively short, preferring to look more masculine / gender neutral. harue's hair is also wavy, which makes it stick up at odd angles at time—— and they're perfectly fine with it. their most notable features are their freckles ( don't listen to mieko, she just lost the genetic lottery ), their ghostly eyes that they inherited from kujira, and their septum piercing.

personality: mieko is much more outgoing and bubbly than harue is—— she prefers the air-conditioned buildings of shibuya, involving herself in the fashion scene and garnering a fanbase. harue has an adventurous streak that pulls them out into the ocean with ryuu; they love experiencing the wilderness, just a simple garden-walk won't cut it. they bicker, often.

special talents: harue is an exceptional crafter; give her some materials and some time and she will have something whipped up. mieko is an excellent seamstress; she's always altering her clothes, or making herself new ones.

who they like better: i think they're pretty split. mieko loves kujira's finery and wants to accompany her to dinners and parties, but loves ryuu's gentle nature more. harue loves to spend time with ryuu out on the sea, but also likes his quiet time around kujira, who is more reserved. kujira thinks they like ryuu more, because who wouldn't—— ryuu probably disagrees.

who they take after more: mieko takes on kujira's confidence and occasional hotheadedness, harue takes on ryuu's gentle nature and emotional strength. i do think both of them take on ryuu's love for dance, though!

personal headcanon: mieko and harue aren't ryuu and kujira's first kids. they come a couple years down the line! ( and there's at least one more after them. )

It's very familiar —— that's the first thing Fara processes. Familiar, to have Luuk reaching for her face, and no fear with the not - quite - a - memory. There are moments like this. When Aemeath had dissolved into tears in her arms. Staring at a place that once had been 'home' and is no longer. Moments that are echoes of something years or eons past, reverberating still, even now that the memories themselves have long been worn away.

Luuk reaching for their face, and it isn't surprising or frightening, but it is familiar. The familiarity stutters when the hand doesn't come to rest on their cheek, as they'd half - expected, but instead reaches behind their ear —— he produces another candy as if from nothingness and Rover can't help but smile, even as worn - thin as the expression is. It is very hard to be happy, with Aemeath far away and suffering, but the familiarity and his kindness ease something tight and stinging in her chest. Her hand raises, palm up and waiting, eyes expectant and almost teasing. A brow quirks.

"Should I ask who this flashy individual is?" She asks, head tilting. "Or should I just wonder if magical candy is better than your normal offerings?"

"You're a real impressive musician," Aika says one day —— and she means it, even if the surprise in her voice might seem a little insulting. Her bent smile's a little teasing, but the devil's eyes are kind. "I never really listened to all your music before, but it's really good. How come you didn't tell me? I coulda been cheerin' you on the whole time! I'm super cute, I could get you lotsa new fans just by being a public stan." Not that they need her help, but, well, she can't help but tease her favourite lil tsundere!

Kumi is never happy. Kumi is never free of her brooding. But Kumi is, in moments, closer, and this is one such moment. She's not smiling, but there's light in her eyes as she sits on the couch beside Momo, PSP in hands, nearly - babbling about the game in her hands. Nobody ever wants to hear what Kumi's excited about, that's all, and she's not sure how to shut up now that she feels like she has permission to talk. "It's based on Joan of Arc, from European history? And you play a fictionalized version of her, talking to party members and battling demons and corrupt humans with Jeanne's friends."

She looks up briefly from where she's reconfiguring Roger's gear, then realizes she's too embarrassed to maintain eye contact, and her gaze lower back to the game. "It's got really good characters, I think. Everybody kind of hated Liane when the game came out because they're stupid bitches, but I really like her..." How often does Kumi talk about who or what she likes, rather than what she hates? This is quite a change!

@ruinedheart, for haruka : fumi can't quite meet his eyes. even as she straightens his collar, fingers fiddling with the buttons on it—— she's afraid if haruka looks at her, her embarrassment will be too clear to see. but it's just not fair! if she'd known that this is why torao had looked so eager to send her off today, she would have at least stepped on his foot on her way out. ❝ there, all done. ❞ he brushes a nonexistent speck of dust off his shoulder, turning away before he can see how red her face is. ❝ now you can keep charming everyone once the break is over! ❞

"Captain —" A little voice at his side / Roccia looks up at him, expression blank except for the small smile on the girl's face. She holds up his hat, now repaired after it had been torn in the last battle. It's a seamless fix, and she's proud of it, in her muted way. She's still mastering sewing, more skilled at painting or metalwork, and her fingers are wrapped in bandages from the many pricks. "Here. It took a few days, but I'm happy with the finished product."
