“You were defending your father, Karpos – your family. She’s lucky I wasn’t there, or she might not of made it back to Elettra. Let her hate you – you did nothing wrong.”
Lachesis in raze the forest
Karpos and the Pumpkin that bested him,
Karpos and the Pumpkin
Has Karpos met his match with the enormous foe that is a pumpkin?
It was so strange and unlike anything he had even seen back in the swamp. He was sniffing the strange creature or plant… whatever it was. He had found the strange orange mass just sitting there on the territory and he had been examining it for what seemed like hours but the swarthy young Guardian was stumped. Perhaps he should consult his uncle about it. Perhaps it was some kind of herb? Maybe it was capable of being used as food! Delighted by this latest discovery, he tried to push the orange mass, often called a pumpkin, towards the den where he often resided with his family from the late Pitch Pine Trail. On his way back to the den, he thought he felt something move in the pumpkin and he stopped, staring at it curiously. Perhaps he should call for his uncle. Maybe it was dangerous!
The brown eyed wolf shrugged everything off because it didn’t seem harmful and he removed his head from the pumpkin that he was rolling up a small slope. That was when he realized... IT WAS ALIVE! It started to roll back at him and before he could stop it, it rolled over his paw and down the hill. He was taken aback by the shock of the, what he thought to be lifeless, creature had done to him. That was it. He was going to avoid those strange round balls of pain and keep to hunting the fish that he often tried to hunt. He took off with a frown. It was just another bad thing in the world.
What an evil pumpkin.
Falcon - AU
Falcon was born into a rough family. A father who drank too much and a negligent mother wanted little to do with her, though she was knocked around occasionally whenever either had the want for a bit of violence. Her brother took the brunt of it, unfortunately, until the pair took off as teenagers together. Since then, the siblings have separated and gone about their own lives, though they remain close and talk on the phone often. Falcon has found a home in animal care; her favorites are the birds of prey at a wildlife sanctuary where she spends much of her time. Naive and overly trusting, Falcon is often taken advantage of by others as she is more apt to roll over than stand her ground. Only when it comes to the animals' safety does she have any backbone at all. For them, she would do anything at all. Falcon has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in animal behavior and ethology. She has used that degree much in her training of many of the birds that come to the sanctuary with injuries that cause them to be non-releasable back into the wild. Falcon participates in education programs at schools and around the province that focuses on outreach and conservation for the birds' wild counterparts. She especially loves doing school visits. Though she has never had children of her own, Falcon enjoys spending time with them and especially loves when they take an interest in the birds. Their questions are always exciting to her and more imaginative than any that adults can come up with!
Sagacity - AU
Sagacity, a single mother living in a bad town and working in an even rougher neighbourhood, was a cop. A good one- fit, ruthless, smart. But in a world of bad, bad things, there was no way justice was going to be kept. When her ex-lover turned on her and her son, she found herself evolved into a werewolf- and knew she couldn't continue her job. She had become, after all, what she'd been hunting all along. She keeps her badge, still; a silver metal badge in a leather case in her pocket. A symbol of what she used to be, and a reminder that although changed, she's no better or worse than what she used to be. As a child, she was a street urchin, a pick-pocket and skilled thief. She stole everything and anything, and even as an adult she can't always resist the urge to nick things even when she doesn't need them. She has a job, working at the Slaughtered Lamb as a barkeep, but finds it hard to accept life in her human form and often has memory blanks. She works, as well, for Mapplethorpe and Naira, as one of their skilled henchmen.
Naira - AU
Ever since her husband vanished with both of her boys in tow, Naira Aquila had quickly withdrawn from the social scene of Relic Lore. Once a prominent socialite and often seen with multiple bags swinging from her arms, she hastily packed up the Aquila mountain-top estate and moved to the much more secluded Keep that had been left to her as part of her grandparents estate. Taking with her both daughters, and only the most trusted members of her household, she remains secluded amongst the tangled trees deep in the Ghastly Woods.
While she is convinced her husband is simply shacked up with some floosy, the authorities are not so convinced and still look on her with questioning eyes. Until the mystery of the disappearance Rhysis Aquila is solved, her divorce can not be finalised. This doesn't dampen the feelings that are blossoming for her closest confidant and advisor, who remains with her within the walls of Hollowheart Keep.
Karpos - AU

An orphan child who was adopted by Mrs. Aquila and resides in Hollowheart Keep where he finds himself falling for the youngest daughter, Aponi.
