Stone RuinTen Triple IPA

Stone’s RuinTen Triple IPA (Picked up at Trader Joe’s). A 3 of 4. So this is huge and good, but I can’t help but feel the vanilla is out of place. I like creamsicles, but in parts this ends up being a harshly bitter one made with pith-heavy orange juice. After a few sips, it seems to mellow though - there’s a great pungent hop profile with all the complexity you’d expect, and an oily and heavily bitter body. In one word: big. Good, but a bit over-the-top on many fronts.
