Why Backstory Is Becoming the Real Feature

For years the pitch around AI companions was about appearance. Make her look how you want, and that was the headline. Talk to anyone serious about it now, though, and the conversation has shifted toward something less obvious: who she actually is. i see your point, however, before rushing into a fierce rap battle, i would like to make a suggestion. i don't like conflict, and we clearly both hold our star very dearly to ourselves - who said we had to fight for him? i don't think he would like to be forced to separate from either of us, so...

do you not agree it would be amusing for us to both shower our beloved star in affection and watch his delightful reactions? i certainly believe so, fufu~ and i'm sure he'd agree he'd rather receive double the affection. not that he'll admit it, of course. (; ￣ω￣) ...
