Succumb to Temptation with Hedonites of Slaanesh

Learn about the new battle traits for the Hedonites of Slaanesh in Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Those who remain Paragons in the eyes of their god receive bonuses when using the new Temptations. Many of the Temptations have different effects that your opponent has to choose from, and none of them are good for your foe. But when a Paragon unit is using the Temptation ability, you get to decide. For example, use some Cutting Barbs when in combat. Will your enemy rise to the insults and forget that key objective they’re supposed to be holding, or turn aside from them and become easier to hit?

Your ogors, your way, with new Armies of Renown

See the flavourful Warhammer Age of Sigmar rules from the new battletome.

Shout out to the "add monster cavalry to other army" Regiment of Renown.

Urrgar’s Maulerguts, on the other hand, can be fielded by no fewer than 13 other factions.** Two Maulbeast Cavalry follow a Tyrant on Glutthorn, and these mercenaries are a great way to add fast, hard-hitting units to your army. They’re especially good at outflanking your foe.

** Cities of Sigmar, Flesh-eater Courts, Fyreslayers, Gloomspite Gitz, Helsmiths of Hashut, Ironjawz, Kharadron Overlords, Kruleboyz, Ossiarch Bonereapers, Skaven, Slaves to Darkness, Soulblight Gravelords, and Stormcast Eternals.

I imagine some of those armies would like Big Cavalry.

See what new tricks the followers of the God-King have up their sleeves in Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

The tenacious and courageous mortal armies of Sigmar bring devastating blackpowder weapons, armoured cavalry, and brave frontline warriors to claim victory in the name of the God-King. The faction rules from their new battletome focus on using discipline and a combined-arms approach to overcome your enemies. But before you march to war, you have to Form Up! While under orders, your units gain access to a range of extra abilities, representing just how reliable and dependable these stalwart warriors are. For example, Take Aim! with your Freeguild Fusiliers and improve the accuracy of your ranged attacks.  It’s important to note that Form Up! is not a once-per-turn ability, which means you’ll always need to be thinking about how you can ensure your army is in blocks of three. This becomes harder as the game progresses and your units start getting killed off, so having a plan or some redundancy is key. Keeping your army together and having a few spare heroes to move around works, and clever use of Redeploy and Counter-charge will also help.

Diverse unit roster is key it seems, so hopefully you can still take a diverse army.

The Helsmiths of Hashut harness the power of caged daemons for a boost on the battlefield - Warhammer Community

Conquer in the name of Hashut.

When the Zharrdron head to war, they Leave the Land in Ruin. Units that are out of combat or contesting an objective or terrain piece earn a desolation token at the start the turn if they don’t already have one. These units can Harness Daemonic Power at the start of each turn, transforming the tokens into daemonic power points, which can then be allocated to anyone but hobgrots.  By spending a Command Point, they may also draw on Reserves of Daemonic Power in the Hero Phase, suffusing one unit with additional daemonic power points. But what does all this raw energy do?

Seems flavourful enough.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Faction Focus: Disciples of Tzeentch - Warhammer Community

Master magic and define your destiny.

Big deal revealed here is that "Summoning" is done.

Chaos Armies, Starborne Seraphon, and a few others, will get other things to compensate, and tbh, probably for the best.

There is no summoning units from nothing in the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, in order to reduce the need for extra miniatures beyond your initial army list. Instead, recycling destroyed units with powerful abilities is the order of the day. The Chaos Spawn of Tzeentch is designed specifically for this purpose as it is set up in reserves and unleashed straight into combat by the Transformed to Spawn spell. Once your Chaos Spawn has been cut down by its former allies, you can instead use the same spell to revive a dead Chaos Spawn. Ordinarily, destroyed units can only be replaced once per battle – the Chaos Spawn of Tzeentch is an exception. It can come back as many times as you want, thanks to its Waves of Mutation ability.

I am seeing mixed resception on rules for Tzeentch. I think we will need more Warscrolls to determine actual quality.
