Another legendary play-by-play broadcaster has left us to call games in the big Arryo Seco in the sky. The man narrated so many Saturday afternoons to millions and millions of college football fans. A man who expanded the vocabulary of those fans with such phrases like, big uglies, hoss, Granddaddy of them all and Whooooaaa Nellie. He was a distinct and genuine voice who wanted to bring the fans in, to share and enjoy the game and never overshadow the game. Keith Jackson provided the vocals on so many memorable sporting moments, not just college football.
