bisexual in denial is my favorite kind of Rumlow
ALSO ALSO *wags finger* Randomly adding onto this about steve + rumlow parallels another thing i forgot to mention with stucky and hydrahusbands is how. well. theyre hydra husbands. a rather obviously popular interpretation of the ship is them being actually openly married or at least a long-term couple, with their relationship being common knowledge to everyone they work with. i think it's interesting to imagine the way they go about public displays of affection as completely opposite to how steve and bucky did, and not of their own volition - a huge part of the appeal of 40s stucky is the whole secret queer romance thing. their love had to be, for obvious reasons, hidden from the limelight, as being discovered would lead to extreme consequences. So imagine steve rogers, a man forced to hide his queer identity for his entire life, a man who lost his loving partner, now waking up in a future that would be much, MUCH more accepting of his romance with bucky, knowing that his bucky never got to see this future where they can be together unapologetically, immediately landing a job where his coworkers are the most sickeningly in love with each other men on earth. They are loud and very annoying and open with their feelings for each other............. And steve, bless his heart, starts growing resentful of how lucky he thinks they are..................................I dont know i just think its interesting to dwell on. I like to imagine rumlow and rollins bring out the worst in steve sometimes
The Hydra Husbands are actually Steve and Bucky thank you very much
No they're not??? Look up Hydra Husbands in the gif search and you get Brock and Jack.

Steve Rogers's Observations on Hydra Scum
read it on AO3 at https://ift.tt/rBQRZSc by AalinAa2011 If you were to ask anyone what Brock Rumlow was like they’d tell you a variation of: “He’s a cocky asshole.” “Ego of a man who thinks he’s god…with the skill to unfortunately match that” “A loyal soldier/agent.” “Damn good commander.” “Idiot…I mean that affectionately”- this one only really came from Stike Alpha and Delta, but still “One of the best logicians Sheild has ever had to offer.” Or most recently “Hydra scum”, “a traitor”, “A dickhead who lied to me for over a decade” (that one came from both Nat and Clint) All of these Steve Rogers had also thought at one time or another…well until they’d brought him into the tower after the Fall of The Triskelion.
