*hugs* Because things are easier said than done, so saying something like that makes them feel like they did something helpful. But it really isn’t, and it’s oversimplified and dumb, and it sucks that you have to keep hearing that =(

Thank you for this. I wasn’t here yesterday to see that you had replied but it still makes me feel better now to see that you had. Yeah I know and then they say that it helped them and has helped almost everyone and all suddenly I’m like “wow thanks jeez that’s helpful knowing that I can’t even do that”. But I guess it’s also because our experiences are different and they just don’t understand how kids like me think :’)
