In the Rum-verse, Kida and Kai are not related at all, yet they couldn’t be any closer! Kai is an oprhan who was taken under Kida’s wing and has begun learning all of life’s essentials from her.
Though she offers to pay for his schooling, Kai would much rather stay off of school and learn in the streets. That doesn’t stop Kida from investing in his education anyways. Kai doesn’t think it’s important, but he appreciates it, though.
