one thing about me is i WILL always support making your prose flowery just for the sake of being flowery and being wordy in your writing. i ❤️ playing with words. words are my friends and we’re all in this sandbox together

#dislike the narrative that pushes purple prose as the Number One Mistake You Can Make anything runs the risk of distracting from #the experience you want your readers to have when it’s in abundance. writing in a flowery way without ’reason’ is fine. using experimental #imagery is fine !!#i get nitpicky with my own fics but at the end of the day i do believe u should be having fun with Words. <- first and foremost #while writing #this is also why i try to dissuade rigorous self-critique because without something to ’filter’ it through it can make your word valve #run dry #ariyap tag
