Today started with going for a walk with my smol one and this fluff ball. And by started I mean it took 2 hours for us to get ready for a 30 min walk 😂 . . . This afternoon I got out for an unexpected afternoon run. It was a nice run. Nothing amazing. Slow, but slow enough to think. I’ve honestly found this week really overwhelming. Im feeling for this in Melbourne/stage 4 restrictions. I’m not a fan of stage 3 but we’re all doing what we got to do. I’ve been feeling rubbish and not performing as well as i would like and then feeling rubbish about that. Today’s run reminded me of my why. I run because I love to run. I run for my mental health. I run for my physical health. I run to be the best me. I run because I can. I run 4 Bowie. The rest doesn’t matter. Yes I want to get faster, run further and run events [when safe to do so] but they’re not my why. There are going to be more hard days and that’s ok. On those hard days I need to remember this.
