Bucky Barnes x Sam Wilson Synopsis: Bucky feels dizzy when he’s around Sam and he doesn’t mind it one bit. Prompt: Rundtosset + Sam Wilson
It felt like being out of control. Like the world was spinning and all he could do was hold on and enjoy the adrenaline rush.
Normally he hated when he lost control. He had spent so many years with none. Being a passenger in his own body, like someone else had crawled in there and taken over the controls. Now he had them back he refused to let go of them for anyone.
Almost anyone.
He was giddy. The laughter came and he couldn’t stop it even if he wanted to. Why did he even think he wanted to? Why was he so undeserving of this complete elation he was feeling? It wasn’t that just the actual physical act of clinging to Sam as he corkscrewed down through the air in free fall, carrying the two of them before snapping his wings out and taking off again.
It was Sam.
He had never felt as completely okay again as he was with Sam. He wanted to be okay for Sam because when Sam spoke to him, he treated him like he was. Sam didn’t put up with him when he was sulking. Where other people would avoid him or baby him, Sam just gave him shit. It made him feel human. Not like a broken thing that could turn at any moment. So with Sam, he allowed himself to feel more. Angry, sad, happy, excited. In love. Absolutely, and completely out of control and spinning in love.
Sam landed, the sound of his laughter only barely covering the sound of Bucky’s heart hammering in his chest as adrenaline and endorphins flooded his system. “You jerk, why did you take so long to land.”
Sam stepped closer to him, the smile on his face never wavering for a second. Even as Bucky’s own vision wavered. The whole world spun around the two of them. Like they were the center of everything and the rest of the universe orbited them. “You think I couldn’t hear you, Barnes?” He said, putting his hand on Bucky’s arm. “I heard you laughing.”
“Only because I thought it was funny how I managed to survive for over a hundred years only to be dropped by a stupid bird.”
Sam rolled his eyes and pulled Bucky into a hard kiss. All at once the world stopped spinning. Yet, somehow Bucky felt just as giddy.
