I had planned on making a new rune set and was waiting till a point in my studies that I knew it was time. My dog apparently thought it was time and chewed my previous set. In her defense she loves chewing up sticks. Luckily for her I was ready. I had a friend use his saw to slice them up. Then on the full moon towards the end of Yule I sat and made this set. I’m really happy with them. ❤

Been thinking about Gebo. There is a prayer many heathens use in the North East US as they pour out their liquid offerings. I'm not sure where it originates from, but I now use it. It's screams Gebo. "From the gods to the earth to us, From us to the earth to the gods, A gift for a gift."

Having an abundance [of anything] does not give you the right to waste or hoard it. Share what you don't need.

Thoughts upon pondering Fehu.

The type of abundance Fehu implies is not extravagant. It is not hoards of treasures or monetary wealth, but rather a ready supply of essential resources. It is your basic needs and comforts being met so you can direct your focus toward other things. It is being stable enough, externally and internally, to do more than just survive. And it goes beyond earthly assets. It is fundamentally a state of mind. It is the capacity to make do with little and still feel secure enough to share any excess. It is family. It is community. It is humanity.

While Fehu signifies abundance, it does not mean there is no hard work involved in attracting and maintaining that abundance. Your efforts are ultimately what cultivate this condition.

Rune Studies

I think I am going to go back through my Rune of the Week posts and reinvent them. See, when I started I based most of the information entailed in those posts off of research. But as I’ve gained more personal experience, I’ve developed a fuller understanding of them and I feel obliged to reflect that in my rune studies content. 

Anyway, I’m going to make them a lot more aesthetically pleasing as well because I feel that will help convey their underlying essence. I’m pretty excited about it.
