If you're trying to learn to switch, it may be easier to first learn "becoming"/non-possessive switching.

We thought of it like this, the original in the body is used to controlling the body and existing in front. It's going to be a LOT easier to piggyback off of that existing "host" framework instead of trying to build one from scratch right away.

Well ok I guess Rune is claiming the area of learning new things. Our boss told us we're going to be taught how to fix and diagnose apple phones (hard!) and he kinda cofronted a little to agree. We've been struggling with learning new things admittedly, and well, he is known for chasing knowledge in his lore, so if there's anyone to be the "learn stuff" guy...

Kinda bullshit that emotional empathy registers as "my emotions" and not "their emotions" because I'll just suddenly start feeling anxious for no reason and I have to sit and be like oh wait thats not mine

I hesitate to call our adaptive side traumagenic. It formed from our adhd, the compartmentalization needed to deal with the divorce, and fully emerged after doing IFS. Some of it was trauma but really most of it was just what we needed to adapt in our circumstances.

Also thinking about how I've always called myself "we" internally but still considered myself one person. I don't think I was wrong, at the time. I really do think the adaptive side didn't emerge until after the created side "trained" our brain to operate in a plural way.
