When u get this, list 5 songs u like to listen to, publish. then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers! :)
Okay okay I had to think for a bit! Thank you for the ask!
Layla - Eric Clapton. This has been my favourite song forever. I go back and forth between the original and unplugged versions though! I used to hate the instrumental half of the original but I mentioned it to my parents once and they said !! it's such an important aspect of the song! And I gave it another chance and now I genuinely love it too.
Rolling Star - Yui. I got into jpop a long time before I got into kpop, and Yui is one of my very favourite artists. I've never actually watched Bleach, but this is probably my favourite song of hers.
Hips Don't Lie - Shakira (feat Wyclef Jean). My gay awakening! I was watching the music video one day (as you do) when I was about nineteen (having struggled to work out my sexuality for several years), and I suddenly sat up straight (heh) and yelled "Oh my god! I'm a lesbian!" to the general amusement of everyone nearby. Her hips, man. They do not lie. Importantly for this list, I also just really like the song (which is why I was listening to it in the first place!)
Come As You Are - Nirvana. I fell in love with this song when I was about thirteen, and I had a whole crisis about it. I was a very shy, very proper, very nerdy autistic thirteen year old, and I was convinced if I told anyone I liked Nirvana they'd accuse me of being a poser. It's simultaneously true that people probably would have laughed at me because kids suck and that I shouldn't have let that stop me.
Shadow (Dreamcatcher's Siyeon and Dami). I ALSO haven't watched Dark Hole because it's scary and I'm baby, but I can listen to Shadow all day. I have a thing for OSTs, okay? (Several other Dreamcatcher songs came to mind - favourite Korean group - especially Diamond - that guitar riff goes hard.)
GOD it was hard to narrow this down to five! I'm the kind of person who tends to like a few songs from many artists, so my music tastes come off pretty eclectic. I tried to show a bit of the range of things I like while also being honest about how much I love these songs specifically. I grew up on my parents' old rock and will always consider that my musical foundation, but I've gone through phases with kpop, grunge, and other things. These days I listen to more kpop/jpop than anything else.
Honourable mention goes to the entire CQL soundtrack which I've spent the past year listening to virtually wall to wall. Because hyperfixations 😅 (I'm mad that Qu Jin Chen Qing is missing from that playlist, since it's my favourite song off it and possibly deserves its own place on my five songs list... this doesn't count as cheating, right?)
what's your favorite hadestown song?
CHANT 2!!!!! CHANT TWO MY BELOVED!!! I CONDUCT THE ELECTRIC CITY MY BELOVED!!!
What if when making your dream pokemon team you had to also make a team of your least-favorite pokemon and that’s the team of your rival/archnemesis.
I am filled with hate even as I follow my own prompt:
My apologies for to anyone who does like the above pokemon, your opinions are valid. Unless you like all of them, in which case you might actually be my archnemesis.
(Fun fact: There was a trainer to go with this, comprised of a generic image that I edited as badly as possible to fit the theme, but it’s actually SO bad that looking at it fills me with loathing and artistic shame. I am either a coward or a hero for not foisting him upon your eyes, and I care not which.)
top five animal crossing villagers
5. pietro he is Clown :o)
4. muffy. her aesthetic Rocks and i like her big eyes a lot
3. katt. i know animal crossing is a wholesome game or w/e but she definitely f*cks (also the ppl who call her ugly are objectively wrong)
2. KETCHUP whenever i talk to her shes always like ‘hi there besty :)’ and it warms my heart
1. tex. round boy round boy round boy round boy
I just want you all to know that the Game Grumps’ take on Doctor Robert Hoffman from Trauma Center: Second Opinion is perhaps my longest standing favorite character from a playthrough of theirs, ever.
And that the line, “The International Cranberry Association of America -- AYE’KA’AAAAHH”, has never left my mind, once.
what are your top 5 zelda dungeons? :0
Number 1: snowpeak ruins. easy. it is a dungeon about soup and yeto is my best friend. but seriously i usually hate ice dungeons and ice physics but the ball and chain is so fun to use and the vibe of the mansion is so cool and yeto has soup for me to eat for free! soup dungeon!
order doesn't matter so much with the next 4 snowpeak is just my top favorite always
anyways taking 2-5th place we've got:
Tower of spirits (spirit tracks) because although it is scary and annoying at times I just love having zelda there in a giant suit of armor. and a lot of the puzzles are fun to solve
Dancing dragon dungeon (oracle of seasons) the dungeon itself is not actually super interesting or memorable but the name (dancing dragon dungeon) is so fun and also the music is fire it is stuck in my head constantly
Thieves hideout (a link between worlds) i just think this dungeon is fun i like it when you have to use a second person in your puzzles and i think the gimmick with the boss (using ravio's bracelet to fuse with the shield) is really cool. overall i think that albw dungeons are really good, theyre like what if alttp wasn't really hard 😭
Temple of time (twilight princess) i limited myself to only 2 twilight princess dungeons but in general twilight princess dungeons are really fun. um a lot of people arent super big fans of the temple of time bc of the backtracking you have to do but i like it when you go through a dungeon and then you get to go through it again or retrace different areas with new tools and perspectives :) anyways i like the dominion rod a lot i think its fun and in the temple of time you get to use a lot of the hidden skills esp backslice my love so thats fun also
my holy trinity of comedy tv shows is Community, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Brooklyn Nine-nine
