Oops, I may be a little blorbopilled... Drew my mdzs oc again and I have at least three more ideas before I'll be satisfied. It feels really good to have a mini hyperfixation like this though because I need to keep drawing! 💪 He's my first boy oc and my first deliberately trans oc and I have Big Feelings about him 🥺 I'm actually really proud of this piece though, aside - I felt like I really nailed the fabric in a way that usually escapes me, and I like the pose and I'm really pleased with his pretty little face! So, yay.

'i wouldve thought youd like to see my girlish and vulnerable heart,' 'or i may start to like it,' gideon going 'why did i have to be born so attractive' and harrow just saying 'because everyone would have throttled you otherwise' (ie not denying it). gideons flirty-ish comments were like an annoying jab at her side but harrows comments always came out like they wanted to hit right under her skin. ianthe was so right harrow IS a romantic

Finally finished this piece that's highly outside my comfort zone! One of the NPC groups in our main dnd campaign, they're super freaking cool. This was a request for my DM, based on an actual scene from an earlier arc. There should be another half dozen guards at least whaling on them, please insert them with your imagination! (I am NOT drawing that many guys in one go!)

They actually usually look even more awesome, this is them in borrowed/scavenged gear after we broke them out of high security prison 😈 Also, Alwel is my boyfriend in-game now ☺️☺️

one thing i do find fun about having a new adaptation of homer very present in the public eye with a lot of very vocal critics is that it truly is a continuation of an age old tradition of getting mad at homeric reception. there were people in the 1st century complaining at vergil for Doing Homer Wrong. a critic named herennius pointed out everything he thought sucked in vergil's poetry. agrippa thought maecenas hired vergil to create a new poetic style and that style was Lame. quintus octavius avitus supposedly wrote an 8 volume series of every line he thought vergil plagiarized. i hope we get this every 2000 years from now on.
