Joined a new running group last night
-I prefer to run at a 12 minute pace
-The slowest group they had was 9-10 min/mile(they call themselves an inclusive group, their Saturday run is conversational pace 8:30 +) l o l
-800m x6 repeats with 90 seconds of rest in between sets. Though we were running on the two outermost lanes of the track after a 1 mile warm up (which was my fastest non stop mile in years oops)
-did a 200 m sprint to finish off the last lap
-since the fast paces had finished their workout they didn’t really encourage the slow paces to do a cool down which I was kinda upset with
-felt like a continuation of people not taking slower runners seriously. I did a 1 mile cool down 7/10
-socially my group was trying to breathe so we didn’t talk much and we finished behind the faster groups so they were done chatting. And typical group leads were more interested in talking to each other. but they did have green wristbands for new people 2/10
-i had a great workout but left feeling pretty sad at the social experience of it all
