Jasmine lay in the bed, staring up at the ceiling willing herself to finally be able to rest. It was obnoxious for her to even be trying, really. She could never rest, not even a nap. Always awake, never able to truly enjoy the fruitful bounties this modern-day world had to offer, and she'd be stuck here for the rest of forever. Despite all of the fights with her elder half-brother about how she would someday find a way out of here, she too had finally given up hope of ever leaving this god-forsaken, rotting from the inside out old Victorian mini-mansion.

She let out a loud sigh and rolled over on to her side, eyes casting downward as she thought about the eternity that stretched before her. For all she knew, even after this house was torn down, she would remain stuck to this plot of land. Suddenly, she swore she could have heard a door creak open somewhere downstairs. Any current residents didn't need to use the doors, they were all dead, so she assumed this was an intruder, someone who didn't belong, and instead of disappearing like a good little ghost and staying out of the way of whomever had just walked in, she treaded silently down the stairs and whipped around a corner, concealing herself in the shadows that leaked through every crevice of the cracked and peeling walls, hoping she hadn't been noticed, and peering out just the slightest bit to try and catch a glimpse of the newcomer.

New Student?

She wasn't really sure how she ended up here, or why for the matter. But now, the angel stood in an empty hallway, it was a Saturday so of course there were no students around. Only a janitor which she could sense in one of the classrooms. It felt weird being here, in such a dead silent place when there is usually so much life, maybe she should try this. To learn, the angel had missed a lot in the centuries held captive. "Hey you, what are you doing here?!" The Janitor yelled walking down the hall towards her. Suddenly feeling scared of how to answer Zuriel began running, down the hall taking a sharp turn before she crashed into someone with a gasp falling on top of them.
