Running in Summer... or Autumn?
I know Autumn is rapidly approaching, and I am not sure if any official #runninginsummer challenges will continue through September, but I am going to set a September goal regardless! My September goal is…….. 60 Miles! I got to 44 this month with some major slacking… so I think 60 is a reasonable, yet challenging goal! I’m looking forward to it!

No fractures in my foot! Looks like I can start running again tomorrow. New goal for August is 100 miles instead of the 175! Also new bike comes tomorrow. Anyone want to buy a road bike?
Running in August! Hill technique!
So I just got back from another lovely run in the Berkeley Hills! I watched a youtube video about running hills (here’s a link) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SBgc3TeKr4. Essentially the video tells you NOT to lift your knees too high, to relax your leg muscles, and to lengthen your spine and hipflexors. I implemented this technique and it made a HUGE difference! I ran 2.5 miles on a fairly significant incline without much trouble! I ran 6.84 miles this morning. My August progress is 30.89/40 miles. Maybe I should have set a more ambitious goal!
