A late day run ment a short run through town (just to be on the safe side!) 😬 I'm not one that likes to run through town a lot. Alf and I usually run either to or from his weekly grooming appointment, but that's usually the only town run we do. I don't like all the starts and stops for traffic, nor the little tiny hills that you never notice until you're running it. I also don't like the stares. 👀 When you have a running partner the size of Alf, you get a lot of stares. And while I post photos of us-and myself-all the time, I don't like seeing the stares I get. Gloomy 3 miles today. Those clouds are FULL of snow! And while they were spitting on us occasionally during this run, thank goodness it was nothing compared to what came after! ❄ About 20 minutes after this photo (and for the last mile of our run) we had wet crystals smacking us in the face. Luckily, I thought ahead and brought my hat. Unfortunately for Alf, he doesn't care much for hats or getting wet, and he pushed me hard to get that last mile done! ❄ Less than an hour later and we had 2+inches on the ground that weren't there before we made it home. (👉 Swipe to see the beautiful snow in my backyard.) And it's still coming down. They're calling for 5-8 inches before morning. While Alf and I ran the occational 2-3 miler this summer, we definitely didn't continue with our training runs. It was so cold today my camera wouldn't work for a post run pic. So instead, here's a post run nap pic. Yes, he's actually sleeping this way. 🎉 New Year's Day Run: 2 easy miles on the snow and ice at at 10'26" pace. 11°, but with the windchill it felt like -2°.
