Hi there!
I wanted to say I absolutely love your work. I grew up with Warriors, and now as an adult they're very lackluster. But your work adds so much depth and care, that it feels like the books originally felt to me as a preteen. That's pretty magical!
I think you're fantastic at writing tension and crisis. The drawn out tension is excruciating and I'm sure the pay off will be excellent. Poor Firestar. It breaks my heart every chapter. I'm hoping he will let himself talk to someone soon.
I think your firestar's very black and white perspective on morality is very interesting. He's a cat living in the wild, things are harsh, death is commonplace, yet he refuses to bend his own system of morality to accept what he has done, because he's seeing all the suffering it brought and it feels like proof to him. But he also saved a lot of lives, and he hasn't recognized that at all. I think it's interesting that he can only focus on the obvious loss of life, and not the lives that would have been lost without his intervention (however accidental).
I'm always excited to get a new chapter, to see what's in store for the boy.
Hello hello! Thank you for the lovely ask. I can't say much to this right now, since I'm on the road and can only really communicate through my phone, but I'm delighted to see this, and I hope you'll like the conclusion of this arc!
