Sedona half-marathon. Signing up for this race last minute may have been an example of poor impulse control; but it was also circumstances meeting preparation. I set a hard goal in January to run 100 miles over the course of the month. I barely squeaked by (100.25/100 on the 31st) but that was enough to get me hooked on the activity. After seeing some road closure signs for the upcoming race while driving through Sedona, I went online and signed up immediately. Using the PCT as proof, I figured it was at least possible to get it done. Despite showing up to the starting line 2-minutes late, I finished in 2hr/1min. I am very satisfied with that. I ran consistently the whole time and that’s all I can ask for. This is the first step in my sick fantasy of running an ultra. The words have been set in instastone; no turning back now. #running @runsedona #halfmarathon #runsedona (at RunSedona) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoQUDczSOfm/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
