Arthur stretched out beneath Ariel’s weight pressing him into the mattress, her lips working their way down the thick column of his throat. Her teeth scraped and his Adam’s apple bobbed, a shiver running through him feeling the gentle ache of a blossoming bruise.

“Gonna be the end of me,” he muttered, a hand at her cheek drawing her up to meet his lips. It was true, she was too good to him. Always such adoration in her eyes like she didn’t see all the more sordid details written across every inch of him in battle scars and frown lines and strength that only came with seeing men die under him.

Lucifer’s eyes were closed as he danced along to the music in the club. However feeling himself bump into somebody opened them. Momentary surprise as realized who it was. “What brings you by Lux tonight?”

Kelly looked at Ariel. The comment was a little out of the blue, catching him off guard more than he cared to admit. He supposed he didn’t really think about it much, just kept on rolling along and occasionally people would stick, though he never really knew for how long. It always felt a little too temporary to label what he and anyone else had.

A curious smile slowly crept into fruition, a chuckle bubbling up with it. “No, I guess not,” he allowed with a wry shake of his head. “Ain’t exactly the friend sort if that weren’t abundantly clear.”

A hand settled at her waist, steadying her in her precarious plight to smother him in love. “Alright, alright,” Arthur said between peppered kisses, catching her chin in his hand to stop the assault.

“You finished?” The question came not nearly as stern as he might like, unable to stop the reluctant smile bowing his lips.
