This is 8 pages long anyways I’m getting an autism assessment soon weee (I’m already pretty sure I have it)
(Image ID: A Google doc with the header, “The Part you Wanted me to Get to Quicker”. The text underneath says, “Let’s get back to that Jumbo Josh redesign. Now, we backtrack all the way to the beginning: An idea for a gorilla mascot that says to eat healthy, and a green color that no one else in the main cast has yet.
What I’d immediately think of is greens and vegetables. And the most infamous vegetable in my adolescence? Broccoli. That’s right. I’m broccing this Josh.
You know how I said that it’s a good idea to make him less vague? That was STUPID. Only corporations make things that look like gorillas. If we’re getting into the mindset of a kid, then we’ll have a much different understanding of the world around us. Also, I have a personal preference for things that look like nothing.
As you can see, his head is now a big cluster of broccoli buds with splotches of freckles. Of course, I made sure to make it very simple and not outline every floret, because they had the right idea with making him so easily-drawn. I had to keep his big mouth, but in game, he does not look too inviting as a character. My way to fix this was giving him somewhat of a smile, instead of a gaping void of gnashing teeth. This was one place where I still had that Carson Dellosa influence: those convex, chubby cheeks and the little eyes inbetween the grin. End ID)
