Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) Dir.: Chris Colombus El pequeño Harry Potter tiene que lidiar con sus insoportables tios hasta que le llega una carta que lo acepta como alumno de la prestigiosa escuela de magia y hechiceria de Howarts. Alli conocera a los que serian sus mejores amigos, Ron y Hermione, y se vera envuelto en una trama que involucra la poderosa Piedra Filosofal con el peligroso aquel que no puede ser nombrado. El comienzo de una de las sagas mas redituables de la historia, como tambien una de las mas queridas. La primer cinta tecnicamente tiene varios problemas que la vuelven una cinta que madurara de muy mala manera, pero que en contexto y alma, como tambien en narrativa e inocencia, es totalmente fiel a la obra original y por aquello la pelicula funciona y entretiene a partes iguales.
