What a difference in in year. ************************* So lastnight I was getting an assist to bed (similar to the bed picture), no one thought to check to see if the brake was even on. I wrenched my bad knee. Warning 4th picture is somewhat disturbing. So we finally got all the sutures out. The reason for the trouble was that the became imbedded. So the had to call ortho for help. An intern came in...more ugly crying ensued. She finally had to use lydacain to numb the areas she used 6 needles in total. At this point I had dilaudid and Ativan from anxiety. After all this I was given another dilaudid and went back to bed. I was woken up at 4 as I was being from unit 51 to Ubit 21 (room 28). I’m now doing my bedtime dialysis and waiting for my night time meds. Hopefully it will go smoothly unlike the last few weeks here. Feeling horrible today. I have a chest infection and fluids around my lungs..his could the #peritonealdialysis. I’m at #theglenrose to help me to go home. I’m supposed to getting antibiotics but it hasn’t shown up in the computer. I’m struggling to breathe. #imjustdone right now. It’s just been one thing after another. Warning: Third picture is somewhat graphic but I need you to understand why I’m struggling with my depression right now. I’m still dealing with a lot of pain right now. The Gabapentin is helping thankfully however I’ve been needing to take dilaudid tonight as well. I was supposed to get the sutures out today as they’ve been in for 3 weeks now. Unfortunately I had a doctor from infectious diseases who poked and prodded my leg which is badly bruised with numb spot tgat send out sparks of pain. I just couldn’t take anymore as I was ugly crying so bad. The nurse that tried said ok I will stop and redressed my leg and put the brace back on. Will try tomorrow to remove the stitches. I shouldn’t have to ask my stepdaughter to step in and call the unit to tell the other nurse to back off. She talk with my nurse and was told that we’ll remove tomorrow or Thursday as I’m just to emotional right now. She going to talking to my orthodontist team tomorrow as well. She was pretty passed of when I called her about it all. Doing better today....I’ve been away since 6:30 am. Started my morning with an EKG as apparently my heart bear was 134/minutes. Have no idea what that was about. The Gabapentin is mostly working so that’s good. I’ve had a fun & Fit Clas in the morning and an art class this after noon. So 😴 was woken up rather abruptly to get an EKG. Then I had to use the little girls, then walked with the walker to the chair. Was just starting breakfast when the Orthopaedic team arrived. The wanted to look at my leg. As they concerned that I may have an infection. Everything looks good but my temp has been elevated, not enough to say I have a fever. So more bloodwork to see what’s going on. There is some concern I could have peritonitis but my bags are clear other than fibrin. The dressing is bone dry which is good.
