- Tokaido (also acceptable: east sea road)
2. Only one of the Kenshin-gumi's mothers has a name. What is it?
- Naname (Sano’s mother)
3. Who was the mentor to Katsura and Takasugi, whose death in 1859 helped spur them to action regarding their country’s politics?

6. According to Takasugi, who was the only swordsman in Edo better than Katsura?
- Sakamoto Ryouma
7. Name all members of the Juppongata
- Sojiro, Henya, Kamatari, Anji, Hoji, Cho, Usui, Iwanbo, Saizuchi, Fuji (also acceptable but optional: Including Shishio, as their commander, and Yumi, as she is included in several acceptable sources. I debated this, as the name itself means “ten swords,” but I chose to do so, as it IS listed thusly in several places.)
8. From the manga epilogue name all CONFIRMED members of the Kamiya Kasshin Ryuu.
- Kamiya Kaoru, Myojin Yahiko, Tsukayama Yuutaro, Shinichi Kosaburou, Higashidani Ota (common, but not accepted: adding in Kenji. In the offical epilogue, he was only 2 years old, and was not included. I’m unsure of whether he was listed in the newer chapters, but the question stated epilogue, so I’ve kept to that.)

- Saizuchi, the guy who controls Fuji
10. It is heavily implied that this man is Tomoe’s father:
- Oibure, the friendly old guy in Rakinumura
11. Katsura died before the beginning of the manga. It’s thought that he was an alcoholic, or had tuberculosis, or perhaps it was this odd and rare disease (as was supported in his diaries):
- Beri-beri, which is a vitamin deficiency
12. Other than Saitou, name either of the two Shinsengumi captain who survived into the Meiji era
