Yan Cook - Rush 12 (2014)
Loving the 5.11 Rush12
5.11 Rush 12 - Multicam and black. The added pouches on my Rush 12 Multicam are made by TAD Gear, LBT (London Bridge Trading), SORD and Tactical Tailor.
Camelbak Mil Spec H.A.W.G. - DCU Tri-color and black. The two Camelbak H.A.W.G. were discontinued 9-10 years ago. EAG-73000 and EAG-73100.
A new pack designed by Mil Spec Monkey.
MSM ADAPT PACK
Thanks to one of my followers for sharing this:
Thought you might like to check this out, a new pack designed by Mil Spec Monkey, I prefer my Rush 12 though.

I'm always interested when I hear about companies teaming up to create something new. I know that's how TAD's F.A.S.T. Pack was born (collaborating with Maxpedition). Here Mil-Spec Monkey has collaborated with Tactical Tailor to create this ambidextrous (1 or 2 strap) pack.
I like the bottle holder on the inside. My experience of carrying a bottle in the main compartment is that it ends up on its side if the pack is not at full capacity, which can mean difficulty in quickly grabbing it, or finding it without looking at it.
I also like how small it packs down when not full. Quite a low profile and apparently comfortable when driving or sitting. I'm interested by the Grimloc style side release buckles. They look easier to remove than the usual style, but I'd be concerned about that bar bending too far out and snapping. I'm guessing they've tested it, but anything with enough flexibility to bend out to be released (I'd imagine) would have the potential to be bent out of the lock by enough force in the right direct. Happy to be proven wrong on that.
Finally they're offering it in a nice range of colour, with the Urban or black being ideal for any civilians.
It comes at a reasonable price ($99) but a low price may mean low quality. Only time will tell…

5.11 Tactical Rush 12 backpack. (I like it so bad!)
Got my Rush 12.
Pictures to come. I left my iPod cord at home so I can't get the pics off it until after work.
I love it. It holds everything I need it to and doesn't feel too heavy when it's full. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a water bottle pocket (aside from the bladder pocket). Upon further research I found that 5.11 offers a MOLLE attachment water bottle pouch. Well played, sirs.
