SURVIVAL ARTS: The featured “kusoge” of the month, Survival Arts is one of many attempts to cash in on the ultra-violent and gory digitized graphics popularized by Mortal Kombat in the early 90s. Take control of one among eight Survival Arts competitors, each with their own agendas, along with taking down the mysterious host, Dantel. Aside from the unique arsenal of special moves, weapons can also be used to varying but lethal effect, akin to beat-em-up games. Of course, the gore gimmick is there by finishing the opponent on the second win with a special property or a weapon, resulting in gibs and guts galore. 

RUSH’N ATTACK: Inspired by the Cold War and espionage movies of the time, guide a Green Beret operative to sneak in the hostile military base in the Siberian frontier to recover your captured fellow soldiers. Armed with a knife, it’s up to your skills to obtain more powerful weapons as you break through each outpost on the way to your goal! This game’s engine is later reused for Konami’s Western sidescroller, Iron Horse.

BURGER TIME: One of the quintessential 80s arcade classics, help Peter Pepper to make the most delicious burgers -- problem is, sentient food are out to get him! Use the layers of giant burgers to squash these pesky pursuers to limit their threat, then run across every patty, slice and bun to make the best sandwiches before your food foes get back on their feet!
