I know the trend of Miku dressing up in other countries' clothes is over, but I still wanted to draw them like this

Hi!! Do you have any idea what little girls used to wear in 14th century russia?

Hello! Little girls used to wear long shirts without a belt or special decorations. Their hair were free or braided, sometimes with a headscarf.

Something like that:

When girl reached the age of marriage (about 15 yo, when her periods get started), she began to wear a ponyova (Russian: понёва). It’s a colorful skirt with a front (or sometimes side) cut:

Also she started to wear ribbons or a kichka on her head. Like that:

Althougth the painting shows a family of 17th century, the principle is the same.

The girl on the left has reached the age of marriage. She uses cosmetics, her fabrics is more decorated (pattern on her sleeves and collar), there is a colorful ribbon in her hair.

The girl on the right is still a child. She wears a simple long shirt without patterns.

The little child on the woman’s lap wears a long shirt too.

In poor families fabrics were made from undyed flax or wool. And in rich families fabrics were made from samite or dyed wool and flax.
