Megavixens / Beneath The Valley Of The Ultravixens / Supervixens (Original Motion Picture Soundtracks) (Q.D.K., 1995) “There’s something for everyone in small town America,” says the narrator in Russ Meyer’s Beneath The Valley of the Ultravixens, and that goes for this soundtrack too. Everything from Mexican cantina music to country to jazz to Richard Wagner - and anything in between - is represented here alongside the combative and seductive dialogue from these legendary grindhouse pictures. Also posting in memory of Francesca Isabel Natividad, professionally known as Kitten, who starred in the last two films here and who Meyer called his favorite of all the kickass women he worked with. She’s in the middle photo on the back cover as shown above. The late Tura Satana, famous for “Faster, Pussycat, Kill! Kill!,” was born on this day in 1938. Here’s some Tura imagery by Mitch O’Connell, a Heavy Metal cover artist and contributor in he mid-‘80s. O’Connell ended up as Satana’s go-to artist for posters and branding prior to her death in 2011.
