I'm sorry.

I was planning for Rustball Week to make a return this year in September. But "Planning" is kind of misleading, really I was just sort of hoping that I would get around to planning everything and telling myself "Tomorrow I'll sit down and figure it all out!!".

As you can guess, "Tomorrow" never came. I don't think it'll come anytime soon.

I've come to realize that I don't have the free time or, honestly, the motivation to do anything with Rustball Week for now. I have a full-time job and a bunch of other young adult responsibilities and plans that take up my time and energy. Capitalism and creativity don't mix well, most of my brainpower is used up at my job and whatever is left is being used for personal projects or stuff for other fandoms.

I haven't been in the StEx fandom fully for a while now, at first I took a step back for my mental health but as time went on, my interest has waned more and more. I still enjoy StEx and Rustball, I just don't really have the energy to do something like Rustball Week anymore.

Maybe in the future I will bring it back. I would love to bring it back, I still love this ship and I'm really happy that it seems to have gained more popularity lately! This probably won't be goodbye forever, though I have no plans and this is all one big "Maybe".

I'm sorry that I got everyone's hopes up and that people have probably been anticipating the return of something that wouldn't come to be.

This blog will still stay up for those that enjoy the fics it produced.

RUSTBALL AUGGHH, I've only written something privately on a whim but now I'm thinking about it but I do NOT have time for another fic, I have Munkavity to rewrite, vodkabrakes to continue and figuring out my rusted brakes one...

As you can see I'm quite the impulsive fellow and I'm thinking of doing a greaseball gets humbled fic hopefully shorter just to focus on his character, outside races. (Setting being also that of more human and like weird sudo train parts idk, more grounded time period of like 80s setting)
