This house is a little dome, a little castle, and a little Medieval, but it also has very unique architecture and some very interesting features. Built in 1976, the stone home in Canaan, NH has 3bds, 2ba, 2,231sqft, $415k.

Those lights and the shape of the ceiling remind me of a carousel.

They made a faux fireplace with a heater instead of a hearth and the stone wall continues down as a base to display shelving.

Under the stairs there's a stone arch with a pebble floor and a tree trunk. It displays a knight and is surrounded by garden edging. Now, that's unusual.

The kitchen is under the "carousel" and is very roomy and spread out. With some greenery, it could look like a picnic area. For seating, there's a long counter and a table that seats 6.

The house is kind of dark, so the white cabinets are a nice contrast.

This bath is certainly interesting. Look at the shape of the room, and the piece of wood next to the toilet. The tub and shower are in their own room.

They've got a cute clawfoot tub.

This bedroom has an unusual shape.

The 2nd bath is a small shower room.

This bedroom is an even more unusual shape. Look at the stained glass squares over the bed.

The laundry is in a little stone nook.

On this side of the main living area there's a family room and a loft.

There's another one of those heaters on the wall. They look like portables. The listing doesn't mention heating, but it seems to be electric. So, they must be the heat sources.

Down a few steps under the loft, there's a wood burning stove.

Also under the loft, there's a dining table.

Outside, there's a nice big statue.

And, this looks like a little covered footbridge.

Here it is in summer. It's lovely and there's a patio.

And, this is the Goose Pond Watershed that the house is near.

Very nice. The lot is 0.74 acre.

Interesting, clearly DIY, 2013 round house in Homer, AK. 4bds, 2ba, 2,348sqft. $790k (Zillow's est.: $760,100)

The entry foyer has lots of room for coats, boots, etc.

Coming out of the foyer, you see a wood burning stove and the main living area.

The floor is cement.

To the left, there's a sitting area. There is either shelving or seating under the windows. Above, there's an open area with netting hanging down.

Continue around to the dining area. Note the heavy beams in the ceiling.

Then, the rounded kitchen features wood counters, hand made cabinetry with a cement frame, and a farm sink.

There are stairs and this structure in the middle.

Half bath. I like the sink.

This is the opening we saw from downstairs. This is a very specific feature.

There's a paddock for horses.

And, a large workshop.

This is very cute.

Free spirited artist's 1920 treehouse in Canyon, CA has 3bds, 1ba, 1,360sqft, $795k.

Quite a hike up there, though.

Come in, come in. You're greeted by a wonderful old stove in the kitchen and a lively, but charmingly worn, vintage floor.

You can tell that it's been here since the 60s or 70s. Peace out.

This looks like fun. It was built to be a motel and local legend says it was once owned by a NYC Rockette dancer. 1948 home is in Chimney Rock, NC, has 4bds, 3ba, 1,784sqft, $599k (Zillow's est.: $574,800). The house is currently owned by a maximalist, so it's pretty cluttered, but it's cute.

It goes up in the back and extends out the side. They built a big covered deck with privacy curtains.

Well, I said they were maximalist. But, look at how cute it is. That must be the old Motel sign, there's an upper mezzanine area, and the fireplace looks double-sided.

It's cozy. Look at the shelves in the wall, and the dining area is under the mezzanine.

The kitchen's pretty big. It goes into another room.

There's certainly plenty of shelving for spices and things.
