"When I was growing up, my parents used to take me into the quarries of the Bavarian Alps and spend days splitting rocks, looking for ammonites, fossilized fish, dendrites, crystals. This my fueled my fascination and passion for the vast, beautifully diverse richness in colors and structures of Earth’s treasures. In this design I was inspired by the porous, rough structure of lava rock. I cast this ring in palladium which has a beautiful dark grey color and is an incredibly hard metal.
