Friday, Friday, Friday ...

Some of the shiny metropolis is a little less than shiny. So many abandoned places. The Emerald Isle is filled with 'em. Laurelle Plaza used to have a pet shop in it with a lovely old gentleman that was so helpful. I forget how many years since he closed up. His was the last 'emporium' to go before they shut the gates permanently.

The crumbling cottage is probably in the state its in due to the owner being in a nursing home, or is at the heart of an inheritance feud. Ireland is a great fan of feuds and properties being left to rot. Apparently there's around 155,000 empty properties in Ireland ... then they tell you there's around 16,000 homeless people. I've heard people say "ah sure lookit, how would you be well?" ... and that's about all that comes to mind when it comes to the supposed lack of a solution to people without homes. I can only applaud those that have just moved in and made places their own.

In other news ... took Captain Blackbeard to the vet yesterday (much to his disgust after his attempts to evade capture were foiled.) Ear has now been suitably cleared of grey gunk that looked like the stuff you see on the advert that shows you why your washing machine doesn't work. Ew and bleuch! T'would seem his ear is going through a 'teenager phase' and has produced multiple blackheads. Fingers crossed this latest treatment will work or they'll have to lazer the little buggers off.

Ach well ... time for breakfast ...
