The editing of this AMV with the opera singer made me HAVE to watch the original anime. I felt like the music was made for this specific movie. It absolutely sold the impact of the storytelling to me.

And made me add the song to my playlist.

I love how eeirie it feels and the way we are slowly fed information as if we're watching the film for the first time. This AMV really is telling a story.

The robotic and violently janky movements of the antagonist are perfectly matched up with those crunchy, electronic rips in the music.

It perpetually builds in time with everything spinning further and further out of control on screen, until everything ends almost as 'peacefully' as it began.
