Back in S1 we've had an episode about Aunt Joan's lover coming back to Portwenn and Martin learning about their affair back in his childhood. Now we have a a son of Aunt Ruth's lover coming to Portwenn to scatter his father's ashes.
Intriguing.
Ruth Ellingham gave Margaret the best "Reason You Suck Speech" this woman could ever hear. It had everything: from pointing out how hypocritical was keeping Joan away from Martin for having an affair, while Margaret had lovers too; through mentioning that Margaret has a history of stealing from the store of an immigrant; to finally calling her out on how she treated her own son.
What can I say?
And what's Margaret's response: "Oh, you don't know anything. You don't even have children."
Later Louisa will call Margaret out too and it won't be as glorious as this one.
As I'm watching the episode with Ruth's stalker, I'm more and more convinced that Doc Martin, his aunts and wife arrested more criminals than police in Portwenn.
Don't get me wrong, Mylow and Penhale have their moments of awesome (and Penhale seems to be a bit more competent than I inicially remembered), but Doc Martin and his family often get into hostage situations and somehow always overpower/outsmart the criminal.
It also doesn't help that in this show there is, like, one policeman for the whole town.
I’m so disappointed that only 6 seasons of Doc Martin are on netflix. Also with each passing episode, does my hatred of Louisa grow and grow. Also Ruth is a way better wingman than Joan.
Stop waiting and stop whining. We're the authors of our lives. You write the story and you have no one to blame but yourself. If you want to change your circumstances, then change them. Only you can do it.

Just started watching last night's ep of Doc Martin. Ruth continues to be my absolute favourite.
