So excited to have this handsome man back in my timeline full time again.
Help. I just REALLY thought about the fact that when you my newphew is my age now I will be in my 60s. And then I thought, oh wow. If I had kids, same is true! And now I, someone who doesn’t really want kids, is overcome with grief for not having kids because if I have them now, I will be OOOOLD and now my heart hurts.
our forces are unparalleled
I didn’t know this was happening. I am here for Ben Barnes always.

I’m Back!
OH my how I’ve missed you all!
My good things are still GOOD. New things are as follows: JOB. Schedule. life?
Why is job good? BECAUSE IT IS NEW. Beginning of March I started a new job. Two weeks later, our stay at home order started. Due to the nature of my job, I continued to go into the office part time. As awful as that sounds, it was a gift. My new job was less than 10 days old and it was a GIFT. That was the theme for the next two months. I’m back to full time work and it is still an adjustment. I’m working through old work PTSD and trying to figure out who I am in this new job, how I’m still me, what’s new and what’s the same. I’m thankful to be there.
I miss small things about my old job. But most days? I forget I ever worked there as long as I did. And that alone is a gift.
Things have been good, in spite of COVID 19 quarantine. Things are weird. Things are fine. Things are good. (Honestly, things are weird right now but...I’m dealing. Ish.)
I’m gonna go browse for a while. Can’t wait to catch up on what I’ve missed! <3
I’m reblogging this and then signing off for a little while. I’ll miss this ridiculous fandom loving place, but it won’t be forever. There are...there are things in the works right now, good things. I promise. And for my little hiatus, this is my prayer and my manta. See you in a little while.
i think about this tweet a lot
Fun fact: Mandalorians touch foreheads when they want to show affection but cant take off their helmets. It’s called a Keldabe kiss. (This is also an ironic term for straight up head butting someone.)
that makes this so much worse:
FYI Jengo Fett’s (Boba’s dad) head is still in that helmet
I know it’s essentially “affectionate head butting” but I’ve always found the concept of the Keldabe Kiss fascinating bc the actors who played Jango and young Boba Fett are Māori and in māori culture they have the hongi which is a traditional greeting of touching noses/foreheads
Like I know it’s probably not that deep but I’ve always wondering if maybe that partly inspired the above moment with Boba
this is why i always powder the fuck out of my forehead before going to a community meeting lol. you end up leaving foundation on 40 elders’ foreheads if u arent prepared lmao
just wanted to add that one of the writers for much of the mandalorian content to come out when Legends was still the Expanded Universe specifically understood the significance of the Fett actors being Māori and the importance of the hongi, and the “Keldabe Kiss” was a way of canonizing that in-universe.
so yes, it is that deep, and it was intentional.
I’m not crying. You’re crying

Great scene, and based on an actual historical incident in medieval Germany:
When King Conrad III defeated the Duke of Welf (in the year 1140) and placed Weinsberg under siege, the wives of the besieged castle negotiated a surrender which granted them the right to leave with whatever they could carry on their shoulders. The king allowed them that much. Leaving everything else aside, each woman took her own husband on her shoulders and carried him out. When the king’s people saw what was happening, many of them said that that was not what had been meant and wanted to put a stop to it. But the king laughed and accepted the women’s clever trick. “A king” he said, “should always stand by his word.”
Medieval women were BAMFs.

Wait for it.
McGonagall realised that James, Sirius and Peter were about to become animagus even before themselves.
There was a morning where she told the class about animagi and something really odd happened. She looked down. The most difficult boys were in complete silence, paying attention, for the first time. Their eyes were wide open in curiosity.
She felt proud of her teaching skills that morning.
Then after class she frowned and sat on her desk, concerned. Thinking. “No no no, they are kids, it’s impossible”. “But why would they be so interested in that subject?” “Because it’s a very interesting subject”. “Everything is under control.” She almost jumped when James Potter appeared at her side. He hadn’t gone yet. He said
“I just wanted to say. That was the best class ever, professor McGonagall.”
“Well, thank you, Potter.”
“No. Thank YOU, professor.”
He literally ran out of the classroom.
She took a deep breath. “What have i done”
