I have bleached hair and recently used Renbows Crazy Color in silver. But now that it's washing out, my hair has gone really dull with tones of blue/green/lilac through it. Any suggestions for getting my hair back to normal? (For anyone looking to use crazy colors, I also feel like it has made my hair really dry)
Hello, its just the silver washing out. As the dye is made up of lots of pigments, they become visable as the dye fades and some bits of your hair cling to the colour whilst other bits don’t. I would suggest that what made your hair dry was bleaching it, not the crazy colour as vegetable dyes are essentially just conditioners with pigments in them and theres not really any harm they can do to hair unless you had a very strange reaction. I’m not sure what you mean by ‘normal’ but to strip the colour from your hair use clarifying shampoo. To do a really effective colour strip use clarifying shampoo with vitamin c powder (or crushed up tablets) in it as well as baking powder. Rub into damp hair and leave for an hour or so, then wash out and condition like hell as its very drying, but should pull the colour out of your hair.
