in personal rvb news i ordered a custom caboose helmet last night. my wallet is crying but it was on sale and etsy prices are going up in a month and a half so i felt i needed to act fast. will post pics when it arrives

in case anyone else was interested in getting Red vs Blue (or general Halo) helmets—

seller i purchased from:

has working lights and visor lights in color of choice. will custom adjust for head size (within certain limitations). they also supply links to additional accessories you can buy separately.

has cosplay and airsoft versions (airsoft is more durable for $30 more. i got cosplay bc that’s what i’ll use it for, i’d rather not spend more money, and i’d hate to get the heavier option ‘just in case/just because’ and then have a sore neck from walking around with the heavier version all day)

it’s a lot cheaper if you buy it from them as DIY and paint it yourself, but i want caboose to look his best and i don’t know that i’d do a very good job.

both will do custom paint jobs upon request. make sure to read information thoroughly before ordering.

the less expensive one is $300 + tax, so these helmets are not a good impulse buy. really think it over if you want to get one. i was going to cosplay donut in a couple years because i thought the scar makeup and bleached undercut would be fun, but i’m not willing to spend that much money on a donut helmet.

caboose on the other hand… damn he really is my favorite, huh

me and some homies did an RvB gamer art collab a little bit back, and we’re making them into charms that are now available to pre-order on my site! there’s an unlimited quantity, so they won’t run out like some previous things i’ve had! however, pre-orders are only available until Feb 5th!
