Hi! New RvB fan here

Just binged the series in a week and my thoughts on Zero are

They accidentally gave us RvB in reverse

They showed this cool team doing missions and actiony stuff before giving us the work place comedy stuff that lets us get to know them. The stakes are in reverse and we’re getting the same sensation/ feelings as Dylan when she met the reds and blues.

These stories/presentation of these people being great heroes and excellent fighters and then disappointed when they do stupid shit.

RvB was about dudes doing a job they didn’t like and wouldn’t do if they could help it (sarge excluded I guess but even he avoided doing stuff he didn’t think would be an easy win) and getting unwittingly dragged into something epic that they couldn’t ignore because deep down they were good people who answered “a call”

This new team “shatter squad” is already set up like an epic team that we should already know and should be cohesive and everything is so RUSHeD and loud and actiony and there’s no room to breathe. Even the down time is overly stimulating.

I haven’t watched the sitcom series yet but it seems like they’re trying to correct the “get to know the characters before the big story happens” thing

Is Zero Bad? No. But it’s not great either.

Has POTENTIAL though.
