New merch!

The RvB: Zero blu-ray, the RvB: Restoration blu-ray, and the RvB Logo shirt are now available on the RT store. The RvBX boxset was available but these were seemingly added a few days ago and not? announced in the news page? the place I regularly check for new RvB news? and it’s already sold out. Sorry! Hopefully the full 20 season boxset will be coming soon.

One thing we want to do is remake RvB Zero as our third volume in ReBooted, and make it better. Give it a second chance to be what the crew wanted it to be.

One thing we joke about with is where Grif & Simmons were during this time period (originally). The answer is their honeymoon.

Just finished RvB up to Zero, time for some thoughts without spoilers under the cut:

You can take this with a grain of salt if you'd like cause I'm a new fan, but I don't understand why I saw so many people hate Zero so much.

I do agree it was fast-paced, with characters that I felt were harder to get attached to, and sidelining characters we already had (and backtracking their progress some). For some characters, I could only figure out their connections by being told, not shown. But the animation was amazing, even if the short areas where they tried to mimic the in-game talking felt unnecessary, and I figured out the reveal early (but I thought it was neat). There IS also that one weird plot hole (cough cough that they reference over multiple seasons so why does it work THIS time) that I would've appreciated being referenced, but it's completely ignored.

Overall, I think it was pretty jarring between it and the other seasons, especially because this one had a more serious tone, which's why people hate it a lot. But I actually dislike the Paradox seasons a lot more, excluding Season 15.

Okay I've stared rewatching Rvb:0, one episode down and here is my thoughts. I promise I'm not being a hater, but this is mostly negative :')

I really dont like the way it feels like I'm watching a constant cut scene. Like the unsteady cam thing? I think its actually less immersive

The fight scenes look pretty cool at least

I've always been a fan especially of Phase's fights. Her design is also really cool. Unfortunately her dialogue sucks. I'm just gonna call her a cringe fail loser who can fight well but doesn't know how to speak

Like seriously i watched the scene where she says "looking for me" 3 times to see if i missed something that made that make sense 😭 im just gonna make up a story in my head that she planned a cool entrance with the blue guy and he didnt keep his side of it

Two moments in the episode made me laugh. One was when a soldier wash was fighting with said "I knew I shouldve called in sick" and the other is when Raymond is driving the car from the passenger seat

Also the concept of them getting really competitive racing against each other and this being Raymond's first impression of them was fun, but the scene itself didn't hit as good as it couldve

I cant take any more of Wash getting hurt, this is paining me 😭

I remember that some of the other episodes were better than the first one so hopefully things will improve from here
