For the ask game! A and B for Savill and Raya, mayhaps?? ;))
A - Why are you excited about this character?
To be honest, there is no definite reason for why I’m so excited about Savill. There’s no definite reason for why I’m so excited about any of my ocs. They’re just bits of my self and my imagination brought to life with (digital) ink but because they are mine - they’re like my kids? And I can’t not be excited about them. I also think it’s because Savill is my most, I don’t know how to explain it, but diverse maybe? As in, there is so much in his story that makes him him and it’s really fun to explore!
As for Raya, well Raya is not my oc. She’s just been lovingly put into my hands by my best friend @marimo-punk! I normally have a difficult time getting interested in female ocs that I make, but Raya is just so fun that I couldn’t help but grab at her when Ami let me ship Savill with her! Also she’s pretty as hECK. I just want to write about her hair all day.
B - What inspired you to create them?
Dragon Age: Inquisition. I wrote mainly DA fanfiction before and returned to original fiction after the fandom started going absolutely bonkers. I didn’t like multiple Inquisitor stories so whenever I replayed but wanted to make a new character, I usually gave them a different job. I was not happy about a lack of blood mage skill tree in Inquisition and thought it would be fun to write a blood mage in the Inner Circle and basically replaced the canon researcher the game gives you with Savill. And it was very fun to write.
My best friend mentioned above loves making characters but never knows what to do with them and I got her into Dragon Age but she didn’t actually want to do anything in depth. So she created an oc tailored for Savill for the sole purpose of shipping with me and Raya turned into her own actual character and I think it was the first time I’ve ever seen her consistently write!
