#RVGC BLOG: NIGHTWOLF RUN AND GUN

So I have shown where I’ll be filming, but haven’t shown what I’ll be filming on. So here is the breakdown of what I’ll be using (sorry for crappy pictures since all my picture taking gear is on display):

Gear displayed includes:

Sony FS700

Sigma 18-35 lens

Azden Shotgun Microphone

Wooden Camera plate

Small HD 4 Viewfinder

Sony a7s mirrorless camera

Sony 18-135 lens

My A camera will be the FS700 since this is the easier of the two to capture both audio and video. I was debating on wether or not to challenge myself by using the a7s for the whole short, but ultimately I felt more comfortable with the FS700.

I would say that both cameras will work well in lowlight situations, but the a7s can get a less grainy picture when pushed to a further ISO than the FS700.

The Sigma lens will be my go-to lens for this short. It is a wonderful lens that retains a constant 1.8 aperture and I feel that will help with the lack of light on the set.

Now the a7s will be used for more establishing shots. Since the camera isn’t nearly as big or heavy as the FS700, I’ll be using it for sliding shots and maybe placing it in harder to film areas.
