one of the main benefits ryder found with being in korea instead of thailand was that he knew what most things at cafe’s and restaurants were. sure, he got accustomed to the thai delicacies but nothing would match the korean ones he grew up with and it wasn’t a strange sight to see him in a cafe near enough every weekend (or everyday, if he had his way). mentally he had decided he wanted to check out every single cafe and he was dedicated to that cause; in the two years being a debuted k-pop idol he’d visited a decent chunk of them.
while he wasn’t against the bustle and high-paced nature of some cafe’s, he did prefer the quieter ones where he could stop and relax - leading him to be in the cafe he was in now, one found down a quieter seoul street. taking his order from the counter, he scanned the floor for a seat before his eyes landed on someone he recognised and, tray in hand, he walked over to them and flashed a precautionary smile. “would i be interrupting anything if i just sat there?” he said, motioning to the empty chair he was hovering over opposite kiseon.
