I’m interrupting my year end hiatus to let you all read up on the mess that had me glued to Twitter for the last week. The biggest organisation for romance authors, possibly the biggest author organisation in general, thought it could be just a little bit unethical right as the holidays started and no one would notice.

What’s interesting about this whole mess, and frankly horrifying, is how many incidents are coming to light now that involve
Nice White Ladies (NWL) being racist,
how many authors of color (AOC) have been blocked and snubbed in the last years,
how many people are showing their asses on twitter now,
how the now president of RWA, Damon Suede, is apparently a lying narcissist.
The amount of unethicalness involving a board of ethics of all things, plus a president elect being all buddy buddy with the Executive Editor of Dreamspinner, (a company RWA has been suspiciously quiet about not paying their authors...) honestly had my jaw dropping so many times, I’m developing cramps.
