So I know I sound like a broken record when I talk about Neo and Roman, but there is a lot about them. The excerpts selected are not only some of my favorite Gelato moments, they also have some great depth.
First one - Neo and Roman Introduction: Neo was assigned to get intel on Roman, however, this interraction reveals how Roman unintently helped Neo find her identity and be comfortable with it.
Excerpt Two - Returning "Home": After a few months, our duo came across data that could leak information about the society's elite, including Neo's parents. On their way, Neo transformed back into Vanille, the child her parents know. Upon noticing this, Roman says she should be herself, and to show her parents how "astounding" she is with a pat on her head. This gentle embrace makes her feel safe and more at home than any moment where at the house she grew up in.
Excerpt Three - A True Friend: When Neo and Roman arrived at the Vanille's mansion, Neo's parents where running out of the hiuse, confused about the chaos. Her father notices her and calls her by whats basically her deadname at this point, and Roman stands up for her and tells her parents her preferred name. He even mentions how he knows her more than her own parents while they only known each other for a few months.
Excerpt 4 - Care: While in the mansion, Roman and Neo come across the family potrait. Roman can see how much this place bothers her, how she isn't comfortable. He comments on the potrait and Neo shifts it to match her more. Another example on how he is helping her find herself!
Roman Holiday gave us so much about these two, and there is tons of ways you can interpert and anaylize it; this was just my version. The list of why I love them keeps growing.

Being friends with other Gelato shippers made me realize something: we share the same fiveish brain cells. We share very similar thoughts and i find that amusing. Yes, there is a few differences that make us unique, but the fact that we can agree on things about them is fantastic. Example: the pet names for each other, the phobias they have, how clingy, etc etc Just a fun thing I noticed
