If it weren’t for Emma, he probably wouldn’t be here. Then again being chained up to a random stranger for a few hours was still better than being at home. Where a drunk, overbearing father awaited and a pushover mother refused to do anything about it. There were very few (as in only one) who knew about Will’s real life living situation. That person being Will’s best friend, Jake. Who speaking of, was headed directly his way. Handcuff free and pissed the fuck off.
“Whoa bro, hold up - where you goin?” Will stopped Jake before he took another step and likely did something he’d live to regret. His friend was spiraling out of control but, there wasn’t a whole lot Will could do about it. Except, be there, he guessed. “What the hell happened to you?”
