"Rehearsing Songs" is a somewhat new and strange concept to me. Years and years (and years) ago, I was in a band, and we largely covered Top 40 songs. In the years since, I've written and recorded a lot of music, but the idea of playing them live was abstract to me. Hell, I titled my first solo album 'icantplaythislive'. I've written, recorded, and moved on. Now I'm going back and learningmy own songs. Strange days, these.
Speaking of which, I have my setlist narrowed down. It's largely solo stuff, but I do have a Pot Roast song in there. Trouble is, a lot of our band stuff really needs at least 2 guitars to work, or I need a lot more practice to pull off. Now I'm trying to work on how to 'banter' betwixt my odd songs.
Cranq-mas! Rx-Mas is coming! Rob and I are already planning “The 12 Days of Cranq-mas” Carol. We've received some great ideas, but we could use more!
